I would like to recommend the services of the Huntington County United Economic
Development to anyone in Huntington County. Our experience with Executive Director and
her staff has been very satisfactory in all our dealings.
In 2003, when we were having a drainage and flooding problem in our facility, Executive Director recommended and attended all the meetings that we held with the City of
Huntington and made suggestions, which put our position as an employer in Huntington
County in perspective. With the input of HCUED we were able to implement agreements
with the City, which have solved our drainage problems and dramatically curtailed the
flooding we had experienced.
Also in 2003, HCUED presented a breakfast meeting on organizations that might be
able to assist our business become more profitable. During that meeting we connected
with BMT, a company specializing in helping businesses develop sales strategies and
business plans. Our staff attended meetings with BMT; created a business plan; and
helped grow a focused segment of our business from $4mm a year to over $8mm
a year, with projection to grow this portion of the business to $17mm a year in the next
two years.
The Huntington County United Economic Development group, and particularly Executive Director, have been an asset to Wabash Technologies, Inc., and we intend to continue
to take advantage of the services they provide and the ideas that they recommend.
